Jenni, Shea, and myself are all planning to make the trip to Ohio in July, the 19th thru 21st. We plan on leaving that Wednesday and getting back either Monday or Tuesday. Jenni has been getting the ball rolling with finding someplace to stay. At first we were planning on camping at a campground with other DSMers, but then the realization came through that we would prefer a motel after standing in 90+ degree heat and 100% humidity for 8 hours a day. So she has found a motel about 7 miles from the track and has reserved 1 room so far. If anyone definately is going then let us know ASAP so Jenni can plan for more rooms, most motels are already booked so time is very limited. We have 6 people already, including Jenni and myself, that are planning on staying with us, so if anyone wants to go please tell us so she can book another room. :)

Hmm that could make for a nice vacation :). I sure could use a few weeks off work....
I"m going to have to think about that one. Depending on how the car is doing will determine if I go.

Yea what dave said. I would LOVE to go, but I have to wait and see how everything ends up w/ the dfi and stuff. I wil be able to let you guys know in a few weeks for sure! I don't think it should be a problem though.

Aw, come on. You both can still go without your cars. They're not attached to your arsses, are they? :p Even if our '90 isn't running up to par, we're still going with the Spyder. OR, we could all pitch in and rent a big van, but I don't think that'll be necessary. In any case it'll be an extremely good time. :)

I have sent everybody that showed some interest in going an e-mail. All the hotel info is included. I will keep on updating you guys with head-counts and when things change.
If anybody else would like to receive an e-mail with all the information about the drive and stay or would like to give some input, please let me know!

Like I said in the e-mail, if someone doesn't want to take his/her car, we can arrange a ride with another DSMer. The 20 hour drive just screams for some extra people to take turns behind the wheel :)

I dont think you understood me. If I go, I want to race:D
Showing up at the shootout is like showing up for your wedding naked. Not something a lot of people would REALLY enjoy.
I've thought about it for awhile now, but it will be a last minute thing for me basically.
Depends on the car, finances, time available from work, etc.
I won't go without my DSM.

The best part would be running it were the oxygen is plentiful and quicker timeslips.
Unfortunatly I won't be going this year but I might run my car in Vegas@2000ft in the fall.

Unfortunately I can't go this year. We've been nailed with projects and we are way under staffed for whats being requested.
Sorry guys.
