Ok i have a question on how to fix something. My friends has a 1990 Eclipse GSX he has a 20g, evo 3 motor, web cams, exhaust, intake, fmic, bov, full fuel system, act clutch, a decent tranny, Safc, everything except and ingnition, and stutter box. Now i am going to race his car at bandi on may1st and see if i can improve on the previous time he got. The problem is the launch however, ok with the afc, we have to have it so rich in first and second gear that, it sputters in first on the launch untill you build boost when you build boost it goes really good!!! I think that the stutter box would solve all his problems. But untill he has the money for an msd what can i do to get a decent launch out of the thing? It ran a 14.11 @106mph, and it's awd!!!! his 60' time was a 2.6 with no bog, mostly all that time was wasted on fetherling the clutch.. So has anyone found any good ways of launching an awd car with a big turbo? If so tell me and easier way than this..

Why do you HAVE to have it so rich in first and second? How was the car launched before? I usually take the rpms up to around 4500-5000 and dump the clutch, don't side step it, just dump it. There will be some tire spin, but not too much, and the 60' times should be down below 1.9. Try messing with the tire pressure, say 30lbs then try down to 25lbs or so. There's no reason for an AWD to get above 2.0 60' times, unless it's running horribly bad.

Hopefully I'll be there tonight. Maybe I can try and help you out......
