View Full Version : Castrol GTX E.T. (friday)

Well i went up to Bandimere on friday for the castrol gtx et series, and i saw that there weren't all that many fast DSM'S. 1 had a fmic and ran almost a 17.00 how is that possible?

We'll anyways i was pretty happy with my time but i can for sure do a little better!

next run was a 13.11 and i was running uncontrollable boost - due to the waste gate line falling off so ahh well

next one i ran a 13.4 *missed* 3rd gear---- don't ask how but i did!!! it sucked!! anyways i hope to be in the 12's soon but considering the mods i have i am pretty happy

Who is going up on sunday??

The E/T series is bracket racing.

Speaking for myself... I will ONLY race heads up events.

I do occasionally go to the E/T series... but only as a testing session. I never go to "race".

When I ran my first 12.4, it was at an E/T series event... I ran in the street import class, and was the ONLY one in that class that had to wear a helment!

I have a big ported and clipped 16g, manual boost controller, k&n airfilter, fuel pump rewire, boost and a/f ratio gauges hrc 02 eliminator downpipe 3", and thats really all, oh i just rebuilt the tranny and put a sprung 6 puc in. It's pretty stock!!

Hrmm... I ask because I have a little more than you, and was just looking for comparisons.. Hey, wont clipping a turbo at this altitude just slow you down? I think I read something about that in the Digest...

His 13 flat gives me hope for 12s on my stock IC when I turn up the boost and get my 550s in.

It is pretty stock.... i don't hope to be this way for very long...

Any ways yeas i think that clipping a turbo makes it a little slower!! but i bought it used and got a killer deal, i plan to sell it soon and get something bigger and better

What do you have done to your car???

i decided i am not going to go up there tonight to race i'm just going to watch.. my car is really slow!! so i think i am going to let have a weekend off, i might end up doing a few things to it this week. Afterwards we are going to taco bell

and after that i don't know what we are going to do
