from what i have seen there are 2 different 20G turbos. the TD05-20G w/ a 7cm2 housing and the TD06-20G w/a 8cm2 housing. aside from the obvious difference in the compressor and turbine housing size, what is the advantage of one over the other?
i am seriously considering a TDO5-20G w/ a 20 degree clip. i'm moving to california so the clip will help and the turbo is on sale. but i still want to make sure this will be a better (faster spooling, great power adder) turbo, instead of the TD06-20G.

The TD06 turbos also have larger wheels, thus creating more cfm and are supposed to support 550+ horsepower. They also will have a bit more lag, too, versus the TD05. My old turbo was the Buschur Racing 20g wich is a TD05 with a TD06 compressor housing. It was a great turbo with very little lag, however it didn't last very long. You'll be more than happy with a TD05, but the TD06 will net bigger results, just depends on what you want.

YEAH!! i'm gonna jump on that.:p
currently RRE has a TD05-20G w/a 7cm2 housing w/a 20 degree clip for $800 and change. thats just a killer price, considering the BIG28 i bought was $900. i really, really want to get a FP Green, which looks to be slightly better than the 20g. but i also think going with the 20g (plus the saved money for a Tial WG) i could still acheive the same goals. low 12s (mid 11s where i'm headed) and close to, if not over, 400whp.:D
i could get the turbo now, but it will kill me to see it sitting on the floor til i get my exhaust (w/ WG) and FMIC. :(
i searched the dsm.org archives looking for compressor maps to no avail. any one have a good link for comparisons?
