I just got off the phone with Mike at http://boosthard.com . I occasionally order parts from him and needed new rotors to shread at Second Creek Raceway. Anyway, if anyone needs parts for whatever, get ahold of him. His prices are allwase fair. FYI:D

Yes. I am going. :) After trying to put in my new rotors and calipers, I managed to damage them both at different times. Without driving the car!! mind you. Although I loved my Auto Specialty brand cross drilled rotors for 4 yrs now, they were to small and were creating break fade and warping at the track BIG TIME. So i decided to order the slotted type and put them on. Well, the slotted are made of ..what!?... full aluminum!!! what's up with that?
So anyway I decided to just get the OE replacements at Checkers. (They're still bigger anyway and they are guaranteed not to warp or crack within the next 3 months. :) we'll see about that. :) ... Then I ended up having to rebuild the calipers that i got as well.
Needless to say I've learned allot about breaks in the last few days. And talk about getting ready at the 11th hour.

_______QUESTION_________
After new (rebuilt calipers by ME) and new rotors and new SS brake lines, how come do I still get a mushy brake petal when the brakes are heated up. Still air in the lines perhaps? I need to know by tomorrow if I'm gunna fix that problem. Is it ok to mix Valvoline synthetic Dot 3-4 fluid with the Motul 600? RRE recommended to flush with the Valvoline and then put in the Motul 600. Then I was told by someone else not to mix it. .. I don't know if I can decipher wether or not the Valvoline is fully replaced by the Motul 600. I don't think so since I couldn't use it all.

The mushy feeling i get too. Let me get this right. Right after i bleed the whole system, the pedal is like a rock. After a few laps it takes on a more mushy feel. It's because you are boiling the fluid and air bubbles just appear. I get it too and there's only a few things that will make it go away. Titanium shields are the best thing for that, they keep the heat on the pad and less transfer to the caliper piston. Brake coolers help as well. You may also want to practice the tecnique of "squeezing" on the brake, insted of stabbing it. It took me a while to get that one. I would just put in the motul 600. It has the highest boiling point out there. Mixing it with something else isn't bad, it will just dilute, or lower the boiling point. See you tomorrow brother!!
