when the spark plugs are rust colored...is that bad, what does it mean???:(
They are bosch platinum right now, gapped @.025, we had ngk's one heat range colder but they were to cold and didnt burn off carbon.....

you should go back to the 7ESs. platinum plugs foul in our cars, hence the reason everyone preaches the BPR plugs.
yes, rust color is bad.

Brownish to grayish tan is what plugs should look like. If they are rust/orangish then that's called high speed glazing which is caused by a sudden rise in temps in the cylinder under hard acceleration. This generally means you need to switch to a colder plug (+1 heat range) and tune your car as it could be a lean condition that is glazing the plugs.
