Are side exhaust's(in the front bumper) legal?

Is it legal to run your exhaust out the front bumper if you still have a cat and muffler? I have seen alot of drag cars run straight pipe, but what if you have your down pipe to a cat then cat to muffler? You would save 10 feet of exhaust pipe.........

you could, but there is no room for it.

if you really want one, put a cut-out in the DP to run a straight pipe off to the side for raceing.

Unless equipped as such from the factory, it is illegal in the State of Colorado for the exhaust to exit anywhere in front of the rear wheels.
