Ok I know I said the last one was my last time. I have found my problem so I'm going up on the 12th to see if it proves to be the problem. If it does I'll be much happier.

If I get around to getting a new coolant overflow bottle and some new wires I'll be there.
I got a new Joe P. mbc sitting here, so that small issue is taken care of...
Is there a local place that sells VP C-16 here?

Not that I know of. Are you sold on VP? My car LOVES Sunoco, and runs really really strong on phillips 101 & 104. The sunoco 104 I burn is sold locally here in Castle Rock out of a 55 gal drum..

Since you are running so darn well on pump gas, I'd try 101 and see what it does...

Vern,
I would just go to dugans (sp?) and get some 104 octane unleaded gas, and turn up the boost a little bit more. and like john says see what happens, 11's??? I'll definatly be there with the video camera.

Interestingly enough I can't find much info on Phillip's 101 & 104 fuels. I do find mention of B-32 (104?) and B-42 (101?) under Phillips racing fuels.
Both of these fuels have a Specific Gravity similar to the UL pump gas we normally run. So either should work well without too much of a headache. If these "B" numbers match up then I'd actually prefer the 101, based on the SG alone.

Where are the Phillip's race fuels located locally John? Sorry for my ignorance, I just haven't looked into them much yet, as I wasn't too worried about it.

But I noticed that above 25 psi or so, that the car seems a tad slower as evidenced by the 13.17@106.4 I ran the last time out and Dave's comment right after that run that she was blowing rich black smoke. It makes sense, I had her tuned for more timing, but was running 27 psi. The extra fuel must've bumped the a/f ratio into that "slow" zone. So I'm thinking 25 psi is about the limit for pump gas on this set-up, (up here on a nice day) and 12's like that is cool by me.

Not sure about Wed or not yet though. I see that if I don't make it I'll have to wait two more weeks. I would like to play with some of that fuel first. ;)

So who all is going? i think i am going to head up to watch. Andrew Vryfasteclipse is going to race, and a few other guys i know are going to be there. It should be a good night.

/begin shit talking
Hopefully we won't have to pick up dave's oil filter and oil off the track this time.

Maybe an 11 sec timeslip!!--

The car felt good (sorry thats an understatement) getting on the highway inwards of 27pounds of booooossstttt and a little 110. I couldn't imagine 27psi and 60 shot in like 3rd or 4th i slightly remember 2nd gear. Kinda went by to fast. Hmm????

If you like the Phillips gas, try the B-37. Leaded 118 octane. So far i've had it up to 25 psi w/o knock, and oh yeah, 1100 egt at WOT. A little rich, but you know us road guys. I love the stuff. I've never had good luck with the Sunoco from Bandi...i think their tanks collects water by sitting in the sun. I you get the Sunoco from the gas station up by Green Mountain theaters, it's pretty good stuff. Just thought i would share... If you would like to smell the gas for yourself, come to 2nd Creek this saturday, the 15th. (plug, plug)

Erron S. (tuned at 25psi):D

I run 104, and I get it from Duggans.

I've had nothing but problems with the gas at Bandimere.

The gas station outside of bandi is regular fuels.

I'll be up on the top on the north side of the concession stands.

just curious, when do all you guys go out to Bandi? my friends and I are looking for new things to do since Aurora's cops are getting antsy about large groups of cars congregating heh. (well maybe not Aurora's but local PD around this area)

I myself wouldn't mind meeting a few DSM'rs only know about 4 here atm :/ and most of them don't contribute to forums or anything just hang out when they can....

maybe I'll find my way out there tommorow ;)

I'm normally there at 3:30-4:00. Test and Tune lasts till about 9:30 or so but the lanes close at 8:30. If you do show up look for the concession stands. We won't be that far from them.

I woulda loved to, but I just woke up had a 24hr day yesterday and ended up passing out for 12hrs... hopefully I can make it next time...

Van

Obviously I didn't make it, but I did accomplish a few things, hehe.

I scored a new coolant overflow bottle, yesterday, that doesn't look like a $5 pos. I seem to remember it looking like that one you got Dave.
Today I got the new hose and clamps to connect it.
Tomorrow maybe I'll get the metal to fab a new bracket for it.

The Joe P. is in, but I haven't had time to dial it in and I still need some new plug wires...

I hope you guys all did great and ran bests!

Heh, well I actually might have some good news, went out with friends to the theatre tonight and one of em might be able to garage my car and help me tear it down :) and in the process, gonna take my intake off and clean out all the blow by and dump my SMIC and try and clean it out a bit too. Hopefully all goes well so with his planing so I'll know sooner than later :) Seems quite a few ppl believe oil in the intercooler is a cause of the stuttering a lot of DSM encouter :/

Maybe next time I can catch a ride out the Bandi and meet some of yall... hard getting out working nightshift for a month :/
