We just ran 8.02 and 8.07 at 170 mph at Atco a few weeks ago. We actually turned the boost down, after finding it way to high,
four pounds. We unloaded the car and made a pass tonight. The pass felt so smooth and slow I never even pulled the parachute.
The guy at the ET shack was smiling like mad when I pulled up. I said, "How ya doing?". He said good and handed me my slip. When I looked at it I started yelling and laughing, so did he.
Then I knew why he was smiling. The car ran 7.94 at 171.66
mph.
That is it's first 7 second run. Best MPH by 5 mph at Norwalk.
There is still tons left in the car. IF we ever get a torque converter
in it that is right it should pick up 3 tenths and 4-6 mph instantly.
