Sweet!! I will count you in, if we can get enough interested, we can have our own group run together. Could you imagine 20 dsm's on the track at the same time? OOOOOOO!!!!!

That's awesome guys, we'll have a great turnout then. Yes, you need a helmut for ride alongs and driving. There are usually more than enough people to borrow one from too.

Well lets see...if memory serves correctly...
Dave was a 1.27, first day on the track w/o suspension and tires mind you, and the old engine.

Mike Baker is a best of 1.24, destroying a tire, and w/o suspension and tires- highly modded 1G.

Paul Rask is a best of 1.22, full brakes and slicks, highly modded 2G.

Douge Hayne is a best of 1.22, full brakes and slicks, highly modded 1G.

Marcus Martinez is a best of 1.24, w/o suspension and tires, modded 1G.

My best is a 1.17, suspension and street tires- highly modded Stealth TT.

I can't remember the rest, feel free to chime in here fellas. There are lots of different cars out there, most turbo Miata's are 1.29+. The vipers are usually around 1.26 if their mostly stock. Mustangs from 1.22-1.27 depending on mods. It would seem that it's usually driver dependent and not really mods though. When Marcus and Mike hit 1.24's with factory suspension and average tires, they were REALLY hittin' it hard. Quite a heart pounder really... The first time on the track, expect around a 1.30. Ride around with a few different drivers and see where the "fast" line is and you'll improve quickly. It's nice to work on your car for a weekend and then come out and be 3-4 seconds faster than before, much more fun than fighting for tenth's. IMHO

Aye, I should have good tires by then too, and also need a helmet forgot about that... all I have with me here is a bike helmet :P doubt that would do *much* good in a car accident :P

Ladies and gentlemen. We are on for the 31st of August. If you plan on attending, you must contact Paul Priggie to register, he is the event organizer. Again, $60 gets you all day. I'll be ready to rock as well as the other dsm guys that committed to coming. I'll also be fully caged by then too. (evil grin)

COME GET SOME!!!!

car still aint up, I've decided to just do another engine swap, less work and roughly the same $$$ plus I'm looking at the EVO engines.. supposedly a direct bolt in due to being based off the 2G block... but *shrug* If things go well I'll have a motor by then... also think I just got me DSMlink today... still waiting on final reply back :D wont be much use for awhile but *shrug* its a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned! :D

Maybe I can bum a ride out there and atleast watch or do a ride along... *shrug*

The next session is on the 22nd of this month. The same day as the idrc event. I'll definatly NOT be at bandimere, but out road racing. It'll cost you $60 for all day and free reign of the track. If you want to go for sure, let me know and i'll have you call Paul and register. Not even any tech inspection out there. They believe, "if you're willing to risk your own life, there is no point in me looking at your car..." haha! I love this track!
