Ok guys I'm going to throw a little curve ball at ya. Myself, Hal, Vern?, and maybe a few others will be competing in the street8 class.
What would your prediction of the street8 be?

Ok guess I will start this off. I will give Dave the an 11.8@114.3 for the overall win of the street8.

I will predict that I will be sitting in the staging lanes talking to myself... "Why did we not get the '90 done? Why did we not get the '90 done???" But then I will realize that it was only fair to give Dave and Vern a chance and leave the '90 in the garage. And then I'm sure someone will want to smack me for being such an arrogant ass...
Seriously though, I hope all of the RM DSM member place 1st, 2nd, 3rd, ... no matter what order :D

its gonna be 9's to win quick8 from what i have seen from the local cars this year the importsports car hasnt run anything but 9's should be good to see what will be out there. does anyone know who is coming out here to run in street 8?

I think it's realistic that the street 8 will be all in the 11s this year.

Well that's obvious. But the fact is, if anyone such as Sheppard or Ari are out here for this event then no local racer will even come close. Of course I'm assuming that Sheppard, Ari, etc are still running in the street class. Yes, we have a handful of 12 sec cars around here, but those aren't gonna cut it at the big import events. I would say that John Salmi has the best chance of anyone around here, provided he runs slicks and can keep it consistent. :) Even if our '90 was running perfect right now I wouldn't even bother running it at these large import events. We have another 91 GSX body that we'll convert into a drag car, then when that's done it'll be a great contender, hopefully. :D

-just being realistic-
It's my understanding that both John and Yari will be out this weekend.
Quite frankly, my goal is to qualify... period.
I have ZERO chance of winning based on E/T.
The car is heavy (3490) and I have no intention of making any
effort to lighten it.
I'm happy just to drive a reasonably quick car :)

Salmi hasn't caged his car and can only run once under the 12.00 mark and then will get a warning or be disqualified.
