I need some help here guys. My car has had and it is getting worse. I was cruising along in 2nd gear going 20 mph (yes I was doing the speed limit) thru Bear Creek Canyon and the car was popping and jerking. I have had this problem with it jerking for a while. Have since had the injectors cleaned and new plugs/wires. It seems to get worse when it is hot out and the car has been driven for over 30 minutes. Would anyone know what could be the cause of this. If you wanna drive it and see what it is actually doing (I guess you would have to be in the Springs to do this) that would be cool.
thank you for any relpy

Is it hard to start? If so then it sounds like the alternator is flaking out.

well when it is hot out it is a little difficult to start
Some wanna be mechanic tried to tell me that there is some electrical thing that will try to shut the engine down if it gets hot, I have no idea what he was talkin about, any clues as to if there is a truth in this story or not.....
Hot start problems are VERY common.
You get oxyginated fuel (which evaporates easily), high under hood temps... and you wind up with fuel vapor instead of liquid fuel.
Options:
1) Live with it
2) Run race gas
3) Rig a button to let you run the fuel pump for a few seconds before starting the car
