Ok I"m at the point where this transmission is about to get kicked to the curb.

Hal brought up the idea of using BM Tranny who is based out of N.J. to rebuild this one. BM is also the place that has worked on jeff hill's transmission. Here is a little description of the "Race Trans"

Vern - you might want to look into this for your car.

Race Trans AWD $1,750.00

BM will take your trans and make it into our RACE TRANS, complete with Billett 7000 Series Aircraft Aluminum Shift Forks, BM Spec 2nd Gear, Along with the double syncro. BM Spec third and fouth gear, and both hubs and sleeves. This tranny comes with a BM Four Spider differential.

can you pick your own gear ratio's? And what is the down time look like. how long?

Yeah you can pick your own gearing.

They told me it would take them at a max two weeks which works out perfectly for me.

are you sure its not driver error:p

so what made you decide not to go with a TRE tranny?

Yeah I mentioned B&M the other night at the track, but wasn't sure about cost or details.

Haha if it was driver error then Miek Stewart can't drive worth crap. :cool:

I havn't really heard any good or bad things about TRE but I've heard some good things about BM. Plus BM does nothing but dsm tranny's. Jeff Hill's and a few others use B&M.
