I boost hard through first gear, no lag, when I shift to second, I can barely hear my BOV, and my Talon falls flat on its face. It takes till like 3500 RPM's for me to get my boost back. The BOV makes a real high pitched whistle under part throttle... Anyone have a spare 1G BOV that I could borrow, just to see if my BOV is whack? Preferably in the springs. Also, I dont have a timing light, and I wasnt sure where to position the CAS, so I just retarted it almost all the way... Will that cause a "flattend face" condition? ;P

94 TSi AWD, Complete '91 drivetrain, no balance shafts, Big 16G, ATR 3" turbo to tip, 2G exhaust mani.

Thanks,
Rob

I don't have a 1G BOV you can borrow but since I'm gonna cruise with Patrick while he puts on break-in miles on his engine tonight, if you purchase a timing light (~$20) I can show you how to use it after work and get that CAS setup properly. No timing or timing retard will cause your car to feel like it feel like @$$!

Did he get everything re-assembled? I didn't hear from him yesterday... <shrug>

Yep, he just needs to get his battery charged or get a new one now. It started right up....idled funky due to an egr blockoff plate not existing on the intake mani. The SAFC reads 40% at idle (or something), so I think it'd be the TPS all outta wack (kinda like your CAS). I'm gonna cruise by on my bike after work.....help him get that adjusted, then drive the Fizzer while he drives his GS for the 50 miles before the 1st oil change.

I'll give Patrick a call later tonight to see what you guys are doing... Im not sure when I will make it to my house, I have to do some stuff, but I'll buy a timing light and hook up with you guys later...
