We have been having this problem and wanted to see what you guys thought. On hot days we are having a hesitation problem in the celica. The car starts up perfect, and idles perfect, but when you step on the gas to start going it acts like it is getting no gas and does this for maybe 5 seconds or so. Then it goes like nothing ever happened. It only does this on warm days, when it has been sitting for a while. I have talked to numerous celica owners and a lot are having this same problem, so its not specific to my car. I was thinking about maybe fuel vapors in the fuel line... the only thing about that that doesn't make sense is that the car starts and idles fine. I would think if it was vapors then it wouldn't start or at least not idle correctly. I can't think of anything else, can you??

Oh and the spark plugs have been changed recently, and the spark plus wires cannot be changed.....

my talon used to have the same problem until I upgraded my fuel pump. The Vfaq talks about this problem on DSMs too, so its hardly a new thing... My guess is the fuel vapors..

Sounds like the symptoms my neon has but on cold days. Starts up then dies right after. The only solution I found was to reset the PCM/ECU on the vehicle. You could try that and see what it does.

I have tried to reset the ECU miltiple times, doesn't work. I was thinking about trying to upgrade the fuel system but the aftermarket parts market isn't very good yet for the GT-S....
