Just wondering what people on this site thought about it. I know that it is a small turbo but it has a lot of potential and such. So what do you all think??
Unless you need stock appearance/fitment... I really suggest a 16g (at least)

I've heard nothing but great things about the Big 28, except a few people around the Denver area were complaining about it holding around 20 psi, maybe it's an elevation thing. What's your elevation in Utah? We're planning on putting a Big 28 on our Spyder pretty soon, but we're at a lower elevation here in Missouri.

heres what i know. i had one and sold it to mandy (talongrrl), later it was installed in her tsi awd. the turbo is nice. i guy on co.dsm ran a low, low 13 with the dsmlink, big28 and stock smic and injectors. so it has potential. when mandy ran him....he got crushed. jay mcnallie runs low 13s in his scobby and mandy could beat him if not hang with him depending on the launch. but the turbo is good. the set back is it'll only hold 17 psi at elevation, spikes to 22 then holds 17-16 to red line. its an elevation thing. we tryed everything to get it to hold.....it just wont. but hitting full boost around 3k rpms is very nice. i have been contemplating getting another after seeing how well it ran on mandy's car. IMO, its worth considering for a low 13/ high 12 sec daily driver.

Yeah I have heard that the BigT28 is better than the Big 16G though. I guess it goes to the driving and stuff like that but I decided to go with the T28...

so why did you decide to go with the t28? oh, which trim. standard t28, t28/28, t28/super 60?

I am going with the Big T28. Umm I ordered it from FP. I decided on this because I have a GsT and I am Auto. I know a couple guys that are running it and they are really pleased with it so that is what I want. It is perfect because it looks stock but has the potential to run 12's...

I heard the t28 is a good one from many people, BUT the 12 sec part is probably on an AWD. To get a t28 to do 12 sec on a FWD you would probably be at the ragged edge of tuning (e.g. many hrs on dyno or with an experienced friend and hrs on the road) combined with a driver that knows his car in and out. You do have an advantage of auto, spool-up off the line. The post were the bigT28 did 11 sec was probably on a car heavily modded with a driver that knew how to lanch, and has never been reproduced or backed up from what I can find. Great street turbo though if thats what you want it for.

the T-28 could get 12s. without N20 i don't see it. not in colorado anyway.
the BIG28 that FP ran was in a full weight GSX. i asked Robert about the run and it was all bolt ons that did it. FMIC, clutch, injectors, etc. put the thing on.....11s. so that is mid/high 12s in colorado.
getting a FWD there......slicks. nothings fancy, just slicks. there is an interga that runs 12s at bandi. its all in the slicks. you just have to make for not haveing awd. that 10s sec mustang prolly runs 13s on the street with out his slicks on, so the FWD have to contend with the same.

I agree, but slicks are just a tool. Its the carpenter that makes it work. Experience is the key which I'm lacking along with other things I think..........;)

slicks maybe a tool, but you run it like you brung it. if you have them at your disposal to beat the guy in the other lane...are you gonna leave them in the pits? i doubt it. so use them. or very good drag radials.
