Ok... I cant find anything in the archives to help, so I'm turning to you guys... I have an Autometer boost guage (and other mods) but the autometer isnt showing what i'm seeing in the stock guage.

When I hit the gas hard then back off, the autometer drops down to -15 vacuum, like a good guage. BUT, the stock boost guage goes to MAX BOOST and holds it for 2 seconds then drops off. Normally I would ignore the stock guage, but if I hit my gas while the stock guage is pegged then the car feels like it has fuel cut! WTF?

the reason your aftermarket gauge might not be showing the same (lower) boost is because your hose/tubing might be getting squeezed my something while being on/off the throttle.

Just a thought!

The stock gauge is NOT a boost gauge, it's more of an "air flow" gauge. But, if it's acting up... it's usually due to an electrical problem between the MAF and the ECU.

If you have an AFC, double check those connections, as well as the MAF and ECU connectors/wires.

Hal is dead right... That was what made me think it was something other than my intake system.. DIdnt feel right for an intake leak, I shouldnt be able to boost at all then... It happened right AFTER I got off the gas...

It was the ***damn S-AFR EIDS function turning on and trying to stabilize my idle at 6k RPMs. wtf? I disabled it and the problem went away...

Next year i'm getting DSM link. I'm sick of this shit. On the other hand, I do have a 2G datalogger...
