Got me a 13.0 et, buwahahahaha, sniffle sniffle.

Stock 1g bottom end, stock head, stock cams and C-14 race fuel. Just one decent launch...

A new best mph, so I'm thrilled with that. The car flat out flies, I just couldn't get one decent launch tonight.
I had the lightened flywheel kind of figured out so going back to the stock flywheel is gonna take me another trip apparently, haha. I will be launching every day until I get it right. But I don't miss the lightened wheel one bit, a better mph and smoother shifting with a stock '90 flywheel.

I also think my new 2g awd disc/act 2600pp combo works very well. Seven runs in 1.5 hours and I never smelled the clutch once. My trans shifts just great too. I only missed 3rd on the first run, other than that, butta all night.

What do you guys think some HKS 264/272 cams will do for me? I'll only do HKS cams. With the stock flywheel back in, each shift puts me right at 5k rpm. Right about where some cams would be kicking?!

Congrats on the mph now just keep practicing launching. I've got the launching down now I need more power. I've hit a 2.0 60' or slower only three times this year all the rest have mostly been 1.8s with a single 1.7.

It's amazing how much better the car feels with the stock flywheel isn't it?

Van, Greg, and I have all run 115 mph traps... but look at the extreme range in E/T's.

Vern, I have the 264 272 combo in my car. It will help the spoolup better and you will notice a higher mph trap. Its not that rough of an idle either.

Haha... I just found my 115 mph time slip

60' 1.880
330 5.368
1/8 8.183 @ 90.37
1000 10.563
1/4 12.543 @ 115.06

Yes the stock flywheel is alot smoother feeling when shifting at high rpms.

I still think that 13.0 @ 115.79 is funny, It looks ridiculous, buwahahaha!

I'll probably order the cams early next week... I hear the 272/272 combo idles nicely too.

Congrats, Vern. If anything, I'd start with a slightly larger exhaust cam and leave the intake side alone. Are DSM intake & exhaust cams interchangeable? If so, then move the slightly larger cam to the intake side and step up on the exhaust size again?

Seems that most turbocharged motors need some help in venting the exhaust gas, but filling the cylinders with fresh is simple as there's all that PSI behind it.

And I also experienced awful launches with the lightened flywheel, but the tradeoff once the turbo started spooling is priceless. Since my car hardly ever gets launched, and when I drive it I'm always in boost, that 34-to-13 lb swap out was very much worth it. :)

$0.02 worth. Are you guys going to race at the IDRC thing next wkend?
