Ok here is the info you need for the 29th @ Chatfield.
Times:
Arrive as early as 9:30AM and stay as long as you like, the part closes at 10:00PM.
Location:
Chatfield State Park
Heronry overlook picnic area. (Same as last year)
Directions:
Chatfield State Park is located on the south side of C-470. Coming for I-25 you need to get off on the C-470 exit and head west on C-470. Take C-470 to Wadsworth Blvd. Go south on Wadsworth Blvd. to the main entrance of the park. If you miss it your blind, it’s a huge lake.
Once you pay at the main entrance you take the road south all the way around the lake to the Heronry overlook picnic area (Follow signs). If you need better directions ask the gate attendant. This is the same picnic area that was used for last years DSM event.

General info:
This is just a laidback day in a very nice setting outside. If you have any activities you would like to bring feel free to as there is no set schedule for the day. Come out for the whole day or just and hour, it’s up to you. Again feel free to come out as early as 9:30 in the morning and stay until 10 at night if you like. The picnic area has been paid for by myself and is free for all DSM’s, park entrance fee per vehicle is $5.00 for the day and has to be taken care of by you. Bring a lunch to eat but remember that there is still an open fire ban so unfortunately no barbequing will be allowed. If we get a large enough turnout we will have another show and vote event like last years, so clean up those cars.
YOU MUST RSVP if you haven’t already to be able to vote in the event. I would also like you to RSVP so we can gauge the attendance for the day. If we exceed a specific head count I have to pay per person over that amount. I don’t mind at all taking care of this expense I would just like to know if I need to pay more before the day of. Even if you only plan on staying for a few hours please RSVP to Sherrie Evens, Eric Westlund or myself if you haven’t done so already.
Rules:
Please read and abide by these rules to ensure the use of the picnic area in the future.
