IDRC - Can we expect any fast DSM's up there?

Hey everyone just wondering first of all who all is going to attend the idrc event this year.
So far i've heard that hal is going. Thats about it. i know we can represent the dsm's better than that.

Well me and andrew will be out there on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Attempting to first see how fast we can go with the new mods, and second see if we can get some consistancy.

Andrew did a few new mods to his car including hks 264 cams, i/c piping, a good tranny, and some slicks!!

Then i did we'll i think you guys all pretty much know. But i built the block je pistons, eagle rods, removed the balence shafts, ported the head, 1mm oversize valves, 2900 ACT 6 puc, Super AFC, then i am going to start it at a 75 shot and see what that brings to me.

i picked up some 110 octane along with the ngk bpr8es's. We shall see i am hoping all of this will allow me to hit a 12.

I'm not fast enough or consistent enough, this IDRC race brings in the big boys.

My cams got ordered last week though. :D

I'll be there and hope to keep my string of 13.5s together and no red lighting this time. I'll be getting a tune up for the Sunday race on Friday at the last club clash.

My car has been so consistent this year I've decided to add more power during the off season but I may be running a couple more psi at the IDRC event.

By spring I'll be running bigger injectors and a front mount and hopefully solid 12s consistently.

I'll probably be there but only as a spectator. I haven't had near enough time to mess with the DSM link to get it tuned where it needs to be and i would like to add bigger injectors and a new turbp before taking it to the track. Godd luck to all of those racing an dhopefully i'll run into you guys up there.

At this point in time I do NOT plan on attending the IDRC races.

The only way I would do it is if I ran at least 2 11 second passes tomorrow... and I don't see that happening.

Even if it's only in the bracket class,I'd like to see some 12s from this board since I'm still a bit off,I'd like to see Vern out there but he admits he isn't a bracket racer.:(

Hopefully Mark will hit 12s with his new setup.

Yeah, i would really like to bet that guy some day. he isn't all that fast.

Ok so i decided i am going to be running about 15 psi, plus a 70 shot. I am hoping that the bg sycro shift makes a difference! Powershifting would be nice.

Who all is going to test and tune this afternoon?

I am going to be tunning 15psi off the bottle.

I got the new head gasket on!! :) It's awesome, it's a 4 layer steel head gasket, that i copper sprayed!

I'll also be at the club clash on nitrous, and hopfully the car will hold together for idrc.

Mark,what club are you running with?
Of course I'm running with HAI and we need all the racers we can get since we are only a few points out of 3rd and it would be cool if we can get an import club to get a podium finish. HAI is the only import club to disrupt the V8/domestic domination,we finished 4th last year.

Anybody else that want to run with us would be very welcome and appreciated plus we could use some more DSM reps.

We'll the new head gasket is on and ROCKIN!! It's the *factory* metal headgasket, except this is 4 layers thick, and i copper sprayed it. So i also put the bg sycro shift in, and I HIGHLY reccomand that stuff, my tranny feels brand new!! Got all the nitrous hooked up and ready to ROCK!! The car hasn't ever felt this fast before! I am not getting any boost spike when i hit the nitrous so i am running 18psi plus a 70 shot!! I am spinning all the way through first and cherpin em into 2nd. I have ran the car all the way to redline now, and pulls nicely. I am running the stock exhaust right now because i couldn't borrow, or get one made before idrc, so oh well. I am really excited about running at idrc and club clash. I am going to run for hai, and i think andrew is also, not sure though! I am hoping for some good times!

So i guess i am the only one from the board who is going to race at bandimere on saturday? Thats too bad!

Cool Mark,it sounds like your car is finally ready and look for us just south of the TOP eliminator club tent where we usually pit and hopefully we'll have a good showing for the club and some practice for Sunday. We gotta beat out the Corvette Connection for 3rd.
