View Full Version : New bests for me
12.060 ET and a 117.19 mph, different runs though... :D
The "important" slip goes as:
60' 1.769
330 5.046
1/8 7.740
mph 92.30
1000 10.098
1/4 12.060
mph 115.94
Oh yeah!
I had 8 runs total, here are some of my other results.
12.139 @ 116.49
12.160 @ 117.03
12.262 @ 115.16
12.352 @ 115.46
12.513 @ 115.23
12.631 @ 117.19
13.265 @ 86.27 I missed third gear and coasted down.
That 117.19 mph kind of pisses me off that I didn't walk away with an even lower ET. Ahh well, there's next season... :D

Vern, with those times you should give a club clash a try next year with us. Not too bad with consistency and you're QUICK.:) Most DSMers I see on Fridays have no consistency but some do put on a show with a low ET but they usually are done in the 1st round. :(

Where you racing all year in the Castrol Friday night series? I was regularly attending at the beginning of the season with David L till his car got stolen. Didn't really go a lot more after my clutch seemed like it was going to die. Never was stuck in the first round either :D. Though one time I never made it to the first round (blew turbo on second time trial). Just was wondering if I had met you sometime in there...*shrugs*
Nice times Vern...Even though it looks like you got slower as the night got older, one more run could have netted you that 11 you've been looking for. You should be able to get in the 11's next year with ease. At least you ended the year on a high note. I didn't even make it back to the track since 7/7 IDRC.

I didn't race in the ET races just the club clashes. I hit 6 of those and with the two IDRC events plus the street machine showdown and a run at 2nd Creek was all the abuse I wanted to give the car this year but next year I'll hit a few of the Castrol races for fun plus the Club Clashes depending on my budget for next year.
I'm not sure if we met but I drive a burgundy 1st gen with a large diamond star on the side plus a TEC sticker,I also am one of the few running the stock appearing twin tipped HKS exhausts.

Hmmm, I dunno. I drive a Black 2G that I try to keep looking pretty stock other than a CoDSM banner. I never went to any of the club clashes, but almost did. I sold a guy a 2G stock intake snorkel that had a burgundy 1st gen about 3 months ago that was in the club clashes so he could start using a 2G mas. I think he was hooked up to me by Andy Lyons. Was that you? Part of High Altitude Racing or something like that? Either way, just curious...
What times is your team running? Vern would be a good pick for any team. Especially for the SR-1 heads up team challange next year. Hopefully I can fix the few things I need to get me to the 12's next year during the off season (only got 13.2 this year). I'd like to get a team together for that. We almost did for this year, but things fell apart. I didn't have the car tuned good enough so I didn't go, Greg had his hood fly up on the way to Bandi, Carl didn't even go either, and we really never found a 4th person but had a few people that were interested. I'd be interested in club clashes next year...I will be in the Castrol Series next year for the whole season. I want to try to take a run at the points challange...
