hello all
i just signed up so this is my first thread. ok so i have a 91 tsi with a few mods

my problem started last week. around 3000rpm the car starts to jerk violently, much like fuel cut. i thought it was a loose connection between my turbo and the intake but i tightened that up and it didn't help. this started last friday as i was running errands. it was running fine and then once when i started the car and tried to accelerate (normal driving nothing hard) this problem started. do I have another air leak someplace? could my knock sensor have gone bad and is causing this or does it not have any type of control? i also have a noticible idle hessition but that was around before this happened. the idle is particularly bad when the car is cold. it won't idle. it will start rev and then die. plus my check engine light now will come on for a few seconds and then go off, come on go off, come on go off, ect. i am not sure if these problems are related. i am kind of at a loss and any advice would be great. please ask if anything needs clarified. thanks.
