A stupid question to some. But I was looking into engine stuff and came upon this company that claims to ues this "groove process" for engine seals. It reads as follows.
"Every crankshaft that goes out our door that use one-piece full-round seals has an Enginetech Crankshaft Repair Sleeve either installed or accompanying it," declares Dave. "Enginetech pioneered this item and solved a real nightmare in the industry- grooved crankshaft seal journals."
Now if our cars have the "one-piece full-round seals" can we benifit from this? Sounds like it to be a benifit for some significant reason or another. ... care to explain gurus?
