Head Swap

Okay, I had a balance belt mishap and it got caught in the timing belt. So the valves were belt and I decided it was time for a head swap to the 1st generation.

I purchased a 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST head from someone on the parts trader. Everything with that is fine. My question is that I do not know where to mount the MAP sensor. I can’t eliminate it, as it is part of the EGR system. The car is used as a daily driver and therefore it has to be smogged every so often. :rolleyes:


Does anyone know where to mount this?

The MAP sensor will not just bolt onto the 1G manifold....the mount must be removed from the 2G manifold and welded onto the 1G manifold....cost me $50

I have a 1G manifold I'm trying to get rid of....the MAP sensor is already welded on, and the intake manifold is powdercoated black. You could buy this one off me for $75 and sell your old one for $60+ on the trader. That would cost you $15 for the welding and the powdercoating....let me know!
