I am putting new tie rod ends on, but so far I haven't been able to get the old ones off...I've tried using a couple of wrenches, but that doesn't seem to be enough. Does anyone have any ideas? If not, I'm just gonna' take it by Pep Boys... thanks :)

from my understanding you need tie rod seperators to pop the old ones out, or replacing them... there is another way... I forget where I heard it, or how specifically it was done, but it destroys the boot for the ends so they have to be replaced...

autozone should rent them out....

yea, I rented that tie rod kit from checker, so I was able to pop the old one out, but my trouble came when I was trying to unscrew the tie rod end from the tie rod, but yes, that kit REALLY helped a lot. :) That's how i got the tie rod end seperated from the knuckle, just unscrewing it from the rod didn't work...thank you though! :) (bye the way everyone, checker has a BUNCH of kits, 15 i think, that you can rent for free, and you have 3 days to use it, and it's free. You just pay for the kit, and when you return it, you get your full money back ;) )

hm....that is definitely a good point, Hal....I pictured that you would have to spin the tie rod end left for it to come off, I'll definitely try spinning it right, since it very well might be reverse threaded....thanks!
