Speaking of the Gumball 3000 event (coincedentally). I just discovered some DVD movies I'd thought someone would be interested in seeing sometime.
The covers caught my eye at work when I was in the DVD section (I'm not usually in there) I picked up two Import street racing discs. Now maybe to you underground import gurus you might know of this movie allready. But for us other interested parties, It's called "Mischief" and the 2nd one of course is called "Mischief 3000".
Needless to say the covers and info on it was attractive but didn't come close to what was actually on these videos. MAN! These are fun to watch. Each one is different and good in thier own light. The first one was a little more "home movie ish" but the other one was like a documentary of the Gumball 3000.

I have the 2nd one,pretty good stuff with rich guys driving (and hurting) their expensive cars. Lotsa police in it too. ;)

Damnit Erik! You beat us to it!! Dave L. just bought those 2 dvds as well, and we're planning a little DSM gathering around them.

I live on the south end of Denver near Park Meadows Mall in some new apartments. One of the clubhouse amenities is a small private theater with surround sound. Dave and I were planning on reserving the theater and inviting all RMDSM members to come and watch them! This would probably take place next weekend. But I see you've offered to host this at your house as well.

Either one is good for me! It just sounds like a good reason to get the group together! Anyone interested???

I think it would depend on who all is interested in seeing the movie first. If 20 or so people are interested then it would be quite crammed at Erik's house. The theater that patrick and I are going to try to reserve can hold atleast 25-30 people comfortably. So who all is interested in seeing the videos?

Also there is a billiards room across the hall if anyone wants an ass whoopin :p

Sheesh I'll be there... and I don't know if the engine is coming out just yet :( I have to wait 2 weeks on the head torqe plate which means I don't actually have to take out the engine yet :(

I'm still down to host this at my apt complex, although there isn't much parking at the present time. All the parking spots have either snowed in cars or 12 foot snow drifts in the way.

Once the weather gets a little warmer and some of this snow melts, we can pick a weekend for this little gathering. I checked yesterday, the movie theater has 23 seats.
