I think you need more red under the hood.
Looks sweet and the cutout of the bumper is done very well.
Is it ready to run?

Looks great Rob!! I'm glad to see it's all back together! How long ago did we pull the engine? A year ago? Longer??
I like the powdercoating, it actually looks RED this time! :p But I see you still haven't found that bracket piece that goes on top of the bumper cover! LOL
JAKE:
Yes, that's a coil on plug setup. It's not custom, he bought it from Buschur.

Yes. Buschur... I dont know if they make them anymore. Looks like it uses stock Supra coils....

Im working on it. Im gettin some Red Silicon radiator hoses, and I think I want to redo all the powdercoating a candy red, instead of the orangish red it is now. Everything needs to be hit with a can of mothers polish too... :)
It still needs Thermostat housing, radiator hoses, a Battery, 720's and DSMLink.
You guys see the pimpin flywheel scattershield? ;p

Rob....
Is that a 6 bolt w/ a scatter shield? Also, I was thinkin about going Coil on Plug but Tym at buschur said not to... Could you tell me what you think of it when it's running again?

Nope, its a 7 bolt (scary, I know)...

It ran great on my 2G before I trashed the motor. I ran it for about thirty minutes and didnt notice a single hiccup. Never got to put any load on the engine though which changes pretty much everything.
Ive also run the Coil kit on my 1G talon, with stock ignition, and it misfired bad at Low RPM's and cruising at steady throttle. I didnt notice it miss at all at WOT though. I dont have a datalogger, so im not sure what was causing it to miss. Also, My talon is still all jacked up and sputters above 11psi, so it may not have even been the Plug On Coil kit that was the problem.
Im gonna try it out on my 2G again, along with some di-electric grease on the contacts to see if I can get it to run decent. DSMLink should be able to help me narrow down the problem... <Shrug>

This is EXACTLY why we dumped the COP setup.

Were you having that problem with Aftermarket ignition?
Rob
Only with the COP.
The MSD Blaster coils worked perfectly, before and after.

Yeah Hal, but wasn't it associated w/ the coils not chargin fast enough with your MSD's? Tym at Buschur says not to go with it either way, but I'd like to have independant cyl timing w/ the AEM... I dunno...
Rob, not scary :) I'm building a 7bolt 63/64 hybrid... I go to mandy's this weekend to pull the engine...
Oh the reason I asked, where did you get the scatter shield?? I need one. TRE said they'd make one, but if you know a place cheaper :)

Out of what? her 2G?
where did you get the scatter shield??
DSM-Performance...
ALOOOOOOONG Time ago. Thought I was gonna have to ditch it because it didnt fit with the 1G water pipe. But I bent the water pipe out of the way pretty good and am gonna run some metal hardpiping for a lower Radiator hose (or at least some of it). RIght now a stock lower radiator hose wont fit with my 3" intake.....
