PMI opening day, who's goin?

Anyone here going to PMI tomorrow (sunday)? Just checking cause I was gonna go but I have no clue where the place is at and wanted to follow somebody else down there. If anyone else needs a ride down I got an empty front seat and if you wanna squish I got 2 back seats but I wouldn't recommend it.

I gotta go to driving school to get a ticket I got in Englewood knocked down to 0 points plus the car isn't quite ready yet so my first day won't be till the 25th of next month at Bandi.

I did run a 13.5 @ 100.6 w/ 1.8 60ft. I just ran 3rd through the the lights, and i might have hit the rev limiter before i passed the last light...Either way i reached my goal

Good job Dallas. Now you gotta do it at Bandi. How much boost were you at? Any issues or did it go smooth from the get-go?

I ran my 13.5 at 100mph also with a 1.8 60' at 17psi but I was into 4th at the end,I know I couldn't stay in 3rd gear.

The story is that those exhaust clamps suck unless you get them on perfectly centered and extremely tight.
I will forever stick to my exhaust flanges. If those come loose ill just have an exhaust leak, not a dragging exhaust.

I was half way down the track and all the sudden it the exhaust got extremely loud. I pulled over and look back under the car. The exhaust where the test pipe meets up to the cat back was coming out and getting close to falling out, and also the muffler seperated from the cat back pipe.

It only scratched the bottom edge of the muffer a little bit, and a slight dent.

I was pretty pissed and imbarrased.

I heard the track was pretty ghetto with problems with the staging lights and the timing system and the roll out on one of the lanes isn't flat and it's hard to stage.

I guess I'm glad I missed out and am just too spoiled by Bandi. There's a thread over on HAI titled "Dukes Of Hazzard Raceway aka PMI" detailing the mess.

Yeah PMI SUCKS DONKEY BALLS. I will never go there again. Pretty bad when you're sitting at the line, staged, and you gotta hold your e-brake so you don't roll out. Oh and if you went in the left lane there was only a 1% chance the fawkin timer would work. Lots of pissed off people yesterday. Also there was a pretty bad crash but the guy was ok. One less Mustang in the world now. Boohoo. :D All I got to say to PMI is, TAKE MY FUCKING $30 DOLLAS AND BUY SOME FAWKIN BULBS. Oh and take the rest of the money made today and do some damn track maintenace. That is the shittiest track I've ever ran on. Anyways, here's my times with my GSX. Mods are small 16G at 15psi (I think my gauge is wrong), K&N filter, and a slipping clutch (not a mod). My 60' were in the 1.95-2.2 range. My clutch was slipping pretty bad all day through 1st and 2nd gear.

Run #1= 14.83@93mph 2hrs later

Run #2= 14.96@89.21mph 2hrs later

Run #3= 15.21@89.23mph 3hrs later

Run #4= 15.35@90.84mph 5 minutes later

Run #5= 14.88@90.18mph

Funny, I took that exhaust on my car through Mandy's neighborhood at 60 freakin miles an hour and got 3' of air, litterally, why didn't it fall off for me? I think my exhaust just hates you dallas. Oh, and Dallas, it's Embarrassed, with an E there buddy :)

MY day at PMI...

HMM where to start???

well how about the first run..
My runs were all done on 25psi, pump gas, and a 70 shot..

First couple times where going to be shakdown runs to see if anything went wrong. So i just let the clutch out and floored it..

Basically here is the slip..
13.042 @99.98
1/8 i don't remember the e.t. but the trap speed was 91.98 mph :)
My wonderful 60' time was 2.498 hehe

i hit the rev limiter in 4th gear (115 mph) a little before the 1000ft mark on the track.. i didn't know what the fuck happened due to me never going that fast at a track before..

After bouncing off the rev limiter i hit the breaks and slow down (i don't know why, but it was my first reaction) so oh well.. I think thats when i blew my pcv valve... so the next run i boosted my crankcase (25psi) and got blowby on the piston rings, detonated and detonated thru 2nd and a little in 3rd.. And blew it up :(

So i pulled it all apart and noticed my terrible looking pistons.
So the head is ok, and the rod bearings are good, i pretty much just fucked up my pistons.. oh well there only JE PISTONS eh?? it's just money... omfg...

so i think once i get it put back together i hope to get my 60' times down to at least a 1.9' which is 5 tenths.. everytenth in the 60' is 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile.. so with a 1.9 60' i could have technically rolled thru at a 12.042.. But i didn't so oh well :(

I am going to run a stock bottom end untill i have money to fix my other now blown motor. So stock bottom end lets see what those can hold up too..

Thats my terrible day at pmi... which turned into 2 days.. i had to go back the next day and get my car.. :(

Give me a month and hopefully i can give some people a run for there money AT THE TRACK!!!!!
