i almost got a set of SSR Comps. a couple months back. then i picked up a set of 3G rx7 rims for cheap. of course you need a 5mm spacer to fit them in the whell wells. but i've seen the price on TE-37s has dropped some in the last few months. so im thinking a set of 16x8 volks would be nice. the question is, what would the offset need to be to fit them without a spacer? 32mm?
i suck at math:p

I actually need this info for 1 and 2g's as I just ran across a guy who does custom rim designing and he claims to have some awesome designs that would look great on the DSM's and best of all, his aim is for ALL of his rims to be lite weight, not sure how lite he means yet... but I'll be in touch with him, and try and get some pics of the rims he's got in testing right now, the only info he didnt have available was our offsets and what not.

i think dave has a connection in TX on volks. i was thinking about just ordering the rims, and if the offset isn't right, send them back, and just keep going til i get it right.:p
then again, if im thinking this through right, the offset for a wider rim should be a lower number.
___ rim center
I
I offset
I
___ mounting point
so if you were to have a 20mm offset wouldn't it bring the rim farther out of the wheel well compared to a 40mm?

All good, but I still wanna see what he can offer as far as weight and prices.
He also does restrictions, for a single person, you can get a custom rim, and it will remain unavailable to other customers for 1 years time, and for largers groups, say if a club for somereason all wanted to have the same rims.. can get a custom job and it will remain exclusive to that club and its new members.
All sounds interesting to me :P
