_Ever wondered if any of the DSMs you see out on the road, cruzing could be a RmDSMer or just someone interested in DSMs and want to hang with others when they are in the mood?
_Ever wonder if there is a willing and able person to lend 10minutes and a hand to get this project you've been working on, finished?
_Know where I'm going with this?
_I think a link, off the main page, that is viewable to members only, that they could click on to be able to see who lives, where.
Their face and/or car pic to identify them. A "quick list" of sorts.
-
This would be a compliment to the "members" link. The list would be categorized by town and those people that live there. Those names would have a link to each person's 'members profile' page so that we could find out who they are a lil better, to see if we want to contact them.

_ That way you could ping them and say as an examp. " wow, dude! I didn't know you were that close to were I live. Maybe we can hang out sometime?") or ("I noticed you are in the Lakewood area. I'd pay you a lil to help suspend my exhaust while I bolt it up, if you would be so kind? Later we could do some V8 killin. lol.") something like that.
_if the poll works. vote on it. Yes or no, not interested in getting to know any of you guys. hehe.

That's exactly why we have the list on the "members" page. So it's more confidential. I wouldn't want it to happen either. Nor wish it on anyone in this club also. Defiantly not! It would not be much more info that we know already amongst ourselves: we would just be able to put a face with a car with a general location. That could help out a lot, I think. I know you guys by who I have met in person and can relate and have more fun than having to get to know someone by email all the time. Plus, retort is always more affective in person.
I know a lil about our cars, but there is more that I don't know about them yet. I believe everyone can benefit from everyone else's experience in some way. That being said I'm pretty sure you guys can relate. But to be able to hang out and get better acquainted too. I would have more trust and respect with people I have met or have struck up a friendship with as apposed to just having a internet connection. Wouldn't you?

Looking forward till that day. I'm sure that I'm not allone in saying that, no matter how lil or big part you have over there, We (I) respect you for being there and standing up for our country and freedom. My bro was in the Air Force (over seas) and just got back last fall. It's been nice.

We already have this type of system in place. The only thing it does not do is give you a complete list of members showing their location. Now everyones profile shows: First Name, Last Name, Location (city), yahoo, aol, msn messengers, Car make, model, year, mods and it gives you the option to contact that person. And yes its viewable to members only.

What more do we need?

Location! That was my point.
...Right. we already have a groovy site Dave. Your hard work in making this whole thing is definitely showing off. I'm proud of it so far. But I think that this info is a lil clumsy to sort thru. I guess I'm not alone. Maybe it's the program? I don't know how hard this would be to make, but I would like to see a couple simple changes if we can. I got an idea....
- If the 1st Members page had a set of "priority option" buttons added at the top. This way people could sort thru names and faces by Location, Car type, age, and whatever else. When clicking on an option button, it would then show only a list of people that are relevant to that particular location or topic type. That could be very affective I think!! Is that easy enough Dave?
The other is. I wouldn't mind If people would also start using the avatar's for their mugs. That could be vary affective to familiarize with a face for that purpose. But how do we initiate that? For those who don't have the means to send photos and post them. Could we have them hand over their favorite photo to someone that could do it for them? At a summer meeting, perhaps? I don't remember the way you apply it myself. So maybe we can have someone that could post them for others. Or a "how to post a pic" link, on our personal profile page, for processing it ourselves as an avatar? Then it could always be up to date, when an individual wants to.
...
But I think that my 1st idea mentioned, a 'subject priority' option as a set of buttons for the 'members' page, would be very affective! Could that be added to the members page, please?

The way this system is setup it would take quit a bit of coding to do what you want done. Right now I'm working with Brian @ HAI to see what we can come up with for both sites.
