My Times from 5/26/03

Ran at high school drags somehow passing as a high school student. Only thing i have done to my car is more boost (14psi) and no exhaust.

15.06@90mph

Is that a decent time for the minimal modding i have done? My clutch is fried, i was only able to pull off a 2.0 60ft, but i know i can get a 1.9 or 1.8 in with a better clutch. I probably would have had a 14.9xx but i couldnt get into 4th gear, oh well.

You sure its your clutch? Wouldn't hurt to bleed it and see if that helps. With the stock exhaust in place you won't get much more umph outta the car. The best bet would be to get an exhaust or have one built and also have a bolt in test pipe built. Also keep in mind that cranking the boost up makes the air charge hotter and will cause detonation to occur. To compensate for this you could put some higher octane fuel in like 101 and see how it does.

Yeah I could smell that clutch disc pretty good when your trans was out this last time. You had put a hurting on it.

yeah i pulled a best time of 14.2 (keep in mind i still dont have a boost controller), while lifting around the last 1/5th of the track, as i was afraid i was going to break out, and i did anyway ( dialed at 14.4), my 60' times were a best of 2.0 but i know they can be better, you think that is due to the all season tires, driver skill, or what... i have a centerforce 2500 in right now.

Ive been babying the car since i got the new tranny in. The drags are pretty much the only time ive been hard on her since i got her back. So are you movin out to AZ?? Theres a chance i might have a new clutch to put in before 3 weeks are up. Ill let ya know

Yep. I finally made up my mind today.

I could smell the clutch disc pretty good while the trans was out. The damage was done before the new trans went in. ;)

FWIW I ran a 14.1 with just a boost controller and exhaust earlier this year. I dunno how good that is though.
