Will I be able to mount a large Isuzu npr intercooler on my 1st Gen, or is it too big?

Core dimensions: 19.75" x 14.5" x 2" w/ 2.5" I/O

I think that it might be able to fit if I slant forward ( \ ), being that the the bottom would be closer to the motor and the top closer to the front of the bumper. It would be mounted upside down so that the inlet and outlet would be on the bottom.

Also, is 2 1/2 plumbing from turbo to throttle body too much flow for my stock 14b?

I would really love to see this when you are finished, i have been wanting to try this for a long time, but have been worried about fitment issues. Does it hang out below the bumper??

I'm sure that it's going to hang below the bumper, no matter what I do. It's a very tall intercooler, especially for a 1g. I haven't tried to put it on yet because I need some more high strenth/high temp 2.5" tubing with couplers, and an adapter for the J-pipe. But I'm going the take my front bumper off today to see just how much room I have and if it is even remotely possible.

They make a smaller intercooler for the NPR's that I think is only 8.5" tall, 2.5" thick with about the same length and 2.5" I/O.

Yep. There's no way. I'm sure it's too big to fit in there.
