You should run anyways.... you can then get a good idea of what kind of mods give you what kind of times when you start.... just a thought though:D

Yeah, I'd really like to run my car stock but I'm in need of a new clutch, badly. Too many launches on the old stock clutch, lol. As soon as I get a new clutch and type-s, I'll run it.

Well Hal and I got the misfire worked out along with some other issues. So everything is on schedule for me to be at the track weds.

Well lets see. Where do I start with the problems.
On the way up the car overheated.
Rear brake on the drivers side was binding due to worn pads. This problem showed its face when I got to the track.
First pass we tried the antilag. Ran a 14.9@107
Second pass the antilag turned on no matter what you were doing. 20@53 :o
Third and fourth pass we shut the antilag off and just started hammering it. Both runs were 13.0's at 110
Fifth pass we tried the nitrous which never came on due to the speed sensor not working.
Sixth and final pass the damn two step thought the car was standing still the entire time. So the rev limit was 5500.
Today I pulled all four rotors off and replaced them along with the pads. So I'm also going to have to replace the drivers rear caliper UGH.
One note though. The car does have traction for about 3 feet as i start going but none after until it goes into 2nd gear.

I saw one of your early runs......it looked like you were damn near sideways coming off the line!

Yeah hard to believe an awd can go sideways out of the box LOL.
The problem I was having was the two step in the dsmlink V2 is controlled by the vehicles speed. So if I slowly slip the clutch so the mph is over the 1mph limit I have set then the rpm's will shoot up. Hence I drop the clutch the rest of the way and let the car go. Once the car gets going then I'll slam it into 2nd.
Its hard to launch right now but we may put the MSD two step back in.

NONtheless..
Dave had the fastest import at that test and tune..
The car looks mean as hell.. and i can't wait to see what number it will turn when they get the bugs worked out..
Watching from the waterbox area is even better.. it looks like DEATH... VERY close to hitting the wall on a few passes.. Dave definanitly has NO problem power shifting that thing.. he stayed on the gas between 1st and 2nd i thought the car was going to start lifting off the ground..
Meanwhile hal helped dumbass 1 (me) and dumbass 2 (jake) figure out how the dsmlink work and he pretty much solved all of our problem we were running into on jakes car...
Edit >hal.... it was the 12 mm bolt that was leaking.. it's fixed (NO OIL LEAKS) WOHOO...
Now we are sitting at jakes waiting for his dad to come home with the laptop

I had my camera. I shoulda given it to you two so I could see what it looked like.
Being close to the wall is scary enough. Wonder how close it actually was on the launch.

c'mon,we need 11s,the IDRC event is less than a month away and we need to show that some local DSMers have some fast shit.

I'm anxious to see your car done too.
Dave: Maybe don't try to shift so hard on the 1-2 and concentrate on just running consistent and make sure all your electronics are set;that's what's keeping you from the 11s.
Also it wouldn't hurt to get some decent Z rated tire instead of those soft sidewalled Nitto 450s,those things suck. Maybe try the Falken Azenis;they have been reviewed well and would definetly help out on an AWD launch.
So what were your 60's?
I'm really gonna try to make the next TnT you run and see the car in person and here about these entertaining launches and make a vid.:D

Yeah we'll see if we make it out to this coming T&T. Should have the brakes totally done Monday afternoon. This weekend we should have the electrical issues taken care of *crosses fingers*. However I won't be able to drive it till tuesday to verify everything is working. So we'll see.

Dave... i would say about 2-3 feet from the wall..
Paul dave doesn't need tires... i think the only thing he should do is launch in the groove..
Anyhow.. that car will be in the 11's FOR sure...
give it a little more tuning and time.. it will for sure happen..
On another note.. the following week not the 13th but the wed after that.. the silver evo 8 will be at bandimere.. he told me that i should run it for him...

If I would have had some 1.7 60's we could have seen two low 12 second passes that night. Maybe I'll try the groove once next time.

DISCLAIMER!!!!
Mark Weadick (me) is not responsible for any broken parts if you launch in the groove...
The car looks strong get the fuggin thing off the line and powershift it like you did the other day.. that was the coolest thing i have seen in a while..
Well it about 9:45 and jake is suppose to get his ass over here, we are going to do some pulls, and see what we can stir up..
Peace out..
