fuel upgrades.. you're gonna hit fuel cut once you upgrade to a bigger turbo

If you don't have any guages in then your going to grenade the motor. Get some guages in the car before you do anything else.

i have an upgraded turbo, hence why a listed the FP big 28 :)

and dave, would it be more beneficial to do link and use it to track everything, or just gauges? and if you say gauges, what do you recomend? in the dtt-dc, i already have the boost.

you can get buy with out the Link for a little while longer. you really, really need guages and atleast a 190lph pump and rewire.

you maynot be hitting fuel cut, but you could be running rangerously lean and not even know it.

gauges are all nice, but I'd start with fuel

i said BIGGER turbo......

i'd still do fuel though.. but if you get gauges, i like the autometer cobalts, or lunar

I'd still do the gauges first. Keep on bolting stuff up, blow the motor then you'll never know what happened.....

Yeah, I'd say getting some guages is a definite must....you might be running really lean right now, and not even know it. I think an EGT would definitely be helpfull....as for you using the Blitz DTT-DC Turbo Timer as your boost guage....hm...I donno how accurate that is? I have the Blitz FATT turbo timer, I thought about getting the DTT, since it has the extra features, but I didn't think it'd be accurate, therefore pointless to have. Maybe as accurate as the stock air flow, i mean stock boost guage, which we all know is not so dependable :). I think boost and EGT is kind of a minimum as far as guages go. Fuel pressure is a good one too, donno how important an oil pressure guage is though, or all the others.

I'm getting an EGT for sure though, maybe a fuel pressure guage later too.

I think with all the mods you have already, at least get an EGT and a boost guage though. IMO :)

If you're running any boost over what the WG actuator is set to you should have a boost gauge, not off your TT. The EGT is semi-helpful but only for making sure nothing is going wrong, not for tuning. It's more of a manual fail-safe type device. All these things don't do you much though w/out fuel mods and a way to adjust them... Both points are good, instead of thinking of it as a "next mod" think of it as needing both.

i say both are valid points. both fuel and gauges are needed at this point.

1. you can get a 255lhp pump and rewire it for $120

2. a real boost/vac guage is $50

3. a 02v meter (not a blinky light) is $70

4. egt guage is right around $120

so you still looking at about $300, but its what you and your car need to make sure everything runs right.

myself, i love guages. i like knowing whats going on under the hood without haveing to run a datalogger 24/7. i actually have 7 guages. not including the 6 stock guages. only thin i dont have is a knock counter on the dash :p

but at the same time you car is prolly being starved. i didnt hit fuel cut til i ran 24psi on a t-25 at sealevel. but im sure your close. im also sure the cosp members would be more than happy to help you out with the pump swap and rewire. i know i would if i was there.

I agree, followed by fuel management and possibly some 550's for that BT28

so, the boost gauge on the dtt-dc is un depenable?it isnt accurate? why is this? thats something i was not previously aware of, hum....

i will be following pretty much what hoffman listed. everything needed for the rewire is listed on vfaq, right?

for an 02 gauge, i was going to do the one from gadget seller, where the led displays are re-configured, at represent .01 volts each, from .78 to .98. http://gadgetseller.com/gauges/index.htm whats the thought on this? if not this, whats a different one youd recomend?

also, as for injectors, i plan on later (after all supporting mods) doing a bigger turbo, like a 20g or green, with this in mind, should i get the 660's? maybe bigger?

Always keep in mind where you want to go, so you can plan for growth and save more money in the long run... as far as an O2 meter, jumptronix is damn good, but the meter is only as accurate as your sensor, which leads to more money and a WB O2...

hoffman

true that.

with the trim the car is in now, a "jump" would be fine. maybe later on dropping a WB into the second sensor bung would be a good idea.
