Brake light problem

as soon as the car starts moving, the brake light comes on. when i get on it, itll go off, but as soon as i let off, it comes back on. i took the console off and checked the sensor part, its all fine. i held the sensor brake line part in place, yet the brake light still came on when i started moving. what could be the problem?

well, i disconnected the negative battery so i could reset the ecu, and no more problem. go figure :rolleyes: :cool:
