so post up your reasons.
i use the CFDF w/ street disk. it still has a 2500lb pressure plate, with out the heavy pedal feel. the clutch disk itself is good enough for the type of driving i planned the car for (scca, daily driver), but is weak enough to slip or fail (instead of broken parts) if i launch wrong, or too hard.
just cheaper to replace a clutch than a tranny/axle IMO.

ACT 2900.
At the time nothing else would hold and my last 2600 lasted 800 miles before it exploded.

Better grip, lighter pedal, and more control.
Clutch and flywheel weigh less than 14 lbs.

I've got a Spec stage 3 clutch....its a 2400lb pressure plate with a 4 puck disk.....I love it! The pedal is lighter than my friend stocker and it grips like a mofo! Spec is a small company out of Georia....I am very happy with it, it was CHEAP, and I would buy from them again!

ACT 2600 clutches have run ET's that no 4 cylinder has a right to be running and have held lots of HP to do that. So they work and are proven.
ACT 2600 here.
The CFDF clutch is like a beautiful woman that you can touch, but she won't give it up and do you right.

ACT 2900 and if they had a heavier one I would go with it. Road racing unlike drag racing needs fast effective clamping power. Since I will not be launching the car I have no worries about causing driveline damage. And transmission damage can occur during Road Races when a clutch doesn't engage fast and smooth. I will use a street disc for daily driving because of the harsh engage but a copper 4 or 6 puck while road racing.

RPS Stage 2
It was a good deal at the time that I bought it. My car isnt making enough power for an ACT 2600 and I wanted something stronger then a 2100. So far it has worked out great, pedal play feels like the stock clutch and slips good enough for my front wheel drive car.
I think the next clutch will be the ACT 2600, but hopefully this clutch will last long enough to keep my car out of the garage for awhile :p

ACT 2600 here because the 2100 only lasted one season and that was when the car was a second slower. With the 2600 I'm 3/4s the way through it's 3rd season and still pulls 1.8 60's consistently.
150+ drag launches since '01 and no issues with the tranny or axles.
South Bend Rally. $195 shipped. Excellent replacement for a near-stock engine.

ACT 2900 w/ 6 puck unsprung...
Reason, it was cheap and able to hold a lot of power.

I've got an act 2100 because I don't plan on going too crazy with upgrades for a while.

Wow this is an old thread.
I don't see a problem with posting to an old thread as long as it's still pertinent.

Im rockin the 2600#/ceramic 6puck combo. I like it, even though its not the best for street driving (IMO), it launches well and easily.
