I'm putting a 16g on my car friday and plan on racing that same night at Club Clash....
can my stock fuel system with just a rewire handle 16psi with the 16g on 104 octane or will I hit fuel cut??
I guess I'll find out either way :)

104 octane a rewire and 16psi on a 16G will be a bit on the rich side.

I didn't hit fuel cat at 17psi on my 18g with just a re-wire so it's possible.
What club are you running with? You should gather up a few others and run with the only import club that is really in the thick of things;the CIA.
It'll be my DSM's farewell race and I'm now just over 370 timeslips with it.

I'm running with BestVW this year...due to my VW ties....but next year it will be CIA
I'll be running rich?? is that cause of the octane??
so would more boost probably be alright??

yeah, 16psi on a 16G isn't that excessively high, add the higher octane and you have it running a bit on the rich side. You could probably run 17-18psi w/out problems... then again, you won't know till you tune it, so start at 16 and go from there

yeah... so 18psi I hit fuel cut bad, 17 psi I cant go above 6000 rpm in 2nd - 5th.... damn fuel cut.... but it pulls real nice till the car starts heaving :)
runs good on pump gas finally
