I was looking for turbos online... and came accross the EVOIII 16G on slowboys site.
What kind of power can I expect out of this turbo with supporting mods? or more importantly how much more than a small 16g?
I like the small 16g but want a little more power, and they are selling the evo 16g for $599 which is what tec sells the small 16g for.

The power scale goes like this...
Small 16G
Big 16G
EvoIII 16G
They increased the size of the wheel slightly to squeeze some more power out of it, the spool time isn't that dramatically increased for the power gain, although you shouldn't really expect it to be "amazing"... IMHO I think it's an obvious choice over an 18G if you don't feel like stepping up to a full 44lb/min compressor (ie 20G). At that price well worth the investment.

cool... I was thinking the price was real good for that performance, I'll probably get that turbo in the next couple of weeks

I think the evo turbos are better than a reg. big 16g, but both are not very efficient and I would sport a small 16g if you don't have an FMIC in your cars future. I'd find a good deal on a small 16g and get a modified SMIC from DEJON to help improve IC efficiency and help move the extra coming from the bigger turbo. They only charge like 100 bucks and they clean it out really well too. If you haven't cleaned your IC, you should check it out; you might be suprised at how ill and oily/dirty they can get. Buy a breather filter and catch can at the same time so your IC doesn't get all gunked up again.
Remember, going bigger doesn't always mean going faster, turbo size selection can make/break your performance.

That FMIC isn't that small, you should be fine w/ an evo turbo. These Turbo Garage guys that work near my house only carry Slowboy's turbos, that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling too. Just curious, if you have to make all that piping, why not go bigger and get a downward compressor oultet turbo like a TD06 or a TO4E. There are numberous choices for this kind of turbo and a even a used TD05/TD06 20g would be huge difference in flow than even the EVO 16g. Lots of these new turbos come with or at least offer large internal wategates that allow pretty low boost w/ out creep. Slowboy makes a few good hybrids, but I am saving for a Bucshur BR500. Just my .02 cents.
