So my car ran a new best the other night, here was the best run of the night, My friend Brandon was actually driving my car this run, CODSM doesn't want to post my time on there list because I let him drive. If you guys dont have a problem with it all submit my slip to the timeslips base. It should squeak me right ahead of Dave L.

Sorry to burst your bubble keith but the timeslips page is for the actual driver that ran the car. So post your stats for the you did while you were driving.

Well Your times page clearly lists the OWNER not the driver so you need to change your times page or let me submit my 12.4 run if I cant I can list the 13.0 I ran but I think thats kind of BS if your going to change the page just for that reason.
At this level, the car is almost always driven by the owner.
It has been common practice to list the car/driver combo.
I'm sure at the time the page was constructed the thought that the owner/driver would not be the same person.
I know you got hassled about this same thing by CoDSM.
While this isn't CoDSM, I'm sure the intent of both drag times lists are the same. To show the fastest car/driver combinations.
If you want some sort of credit for your efforts, you can certainly put the results in your signature.
If Dave wants to accept the slip, that's up to him. He runs the site, I just pay the bandwidth bill.

No its not BS. Its BS that you are trying to put your name in the timeslips page and that you ran a 12.4. The rules are simple. Yes it states the owner but the owner = driver.
All that it shows is your car is capable of running 12.4 but your not capable of driving it there yet. So either wait till you get an actual 12.4 or post your fastest slip with you driving.
I will be making changes to the rules since it is not clear to some people.

I think that's faster than my best time in the GS....can I put that one on the drag times page Dave?? ;)
Nice runs Keith. It's about time, eh?! ;)
The sarcasm in this thread blows and has no place being here. If you can't just congratulate him stfu, but I do agree with the driver/slip deal. Don't let other people drive your car, practice more.
Keith your best time is probably faster than most this season. Congratulations man! It's been a long time coming.

I think the whole rule about treating others with respect was thrown out when Keith was "Telling me what to do". Sorry but this forum is not a right nor is it a right to have your slips posted.
Yes Keith has a fast car. Yes it is capable of 12's. But unless he drove it its not getting posted.
Quite a few people know me in person and they know I don't budge when it comes to decisions.
So I will say this one more time. Either post your fastest time with you driving the car or wait till you get one worth posting.

That was for LEVITY... and I will post one more time for those that don't quite get it, IF YOU DO NOT GET MY HUMOR DO NOT RESPOND TO IT. If you have a problem with that, come see me, I promise it will be the last time you misunderstand me. Throw away your damn diaper and give it up, I made the post because I thought the thread was entirely too serious. So get your god damn panties out of a twist and cry me a damn river.
It's been up five months, and will be off the jackstands tomorrow FYI, not that it is any of your business. And secondly, since it will never be run in the 1/4 I don't see how it matters. I have 2 vehicles right now that can post better time slips than a 12. Whoop-dee-doo.

Also change your signature to either explain it was a different driver or take it completely out.

Stick to the topic at hand. This is about Keith and his "12.4".
Keith - Keep up the bickering and no slips will be posted.

You know. When people ask what you ran, they mean when YOU are driving it. Yeah, they may be wondering what the car is capable of, but without a driver worth a shit, even the fastest car can get wasted by a mid 15 second car. I can't talk much (yet) as I'm still at a 13.2@106, but I'm rebuilding to better handle the turbo (60-1) with better boost control and then I'm hoping to get a 12. No predictions though here as I know when you say "I'll be in 11's next season," you start breaking things, messing up runs, and never reaching that goal. I've seen that too often. If your friend who drove the car is in the club, have him post that timeslip with a note saying it was your car he drove. If you didn't drive the car to that time, don't waste your time. Post what YOU ran and be happy. I can say that I am NOT the best driver out there. If I stuck a better driver in the seat of my car and he popped off a 12, I'd be happy for him/her. I wouldn't even think about submitting that timeslip because IT WAS NOT MINE. The other driver ran that time, it's their time, not mine. I would only have myself to blame for not getting a better timeslip. Wouldn't you think also, that if it was a dragtimes page for the fastest cars, that they would listthe cars first with the driver's name being in much smaller print? They list it by driver, not by car. Get over it.
My more than $.02

First off, they're not DSM's so why the hell would I post the timeslips here... secondly it's not really damn hard for one of them (a nitrous fed GSX-R) to run in the 12's, you know, gun it, then let off half way down... third, I wasn't talking any shit, I was adding some humor to a thread that is already bogged down with too much seriousness, so get off my ass :)
Do have a nice day :)
