So recently I fixed a major leak I'd been having and I took my car out expecting to see a slight drop in O2s...

I am getting around .88 until I hit 4krpm or so and then the O2s just drop

4000rpm: O2 @ .88

4600rpm: O2 @ .76

5200rpm: O2 @ .49

I'm also getting random knock, at full throttle i don't have much (I did when i was hitting those o2s, but at lower rpm i get partial throttle knock some then i let off the gas and punch it and i get hardly any knock at all)

Are O2s supposed to drop this much with the fix of a major leak? My numbers before were about .88-.9 all around.

Edit:

I richened my hi throttle points up a bit (raised the 4500+ up about 4-6%) and did a run:

4000: .88
4300-5300: .9
5500: .41

That sounds like you are out of fuel up top for one reason or another.

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

Also, check the FPR and your fuel pressure. It might not be raising the pressure under boost.

In the 7k miles of me owning my car I have never changed my fuel filter

I'll look at my fuel pressure as I make boost, but I am only pumping out a whopping 10psi right now so i should be making full boost before the o2s start dropping

Edit: I just went out and drove around, yea I'm getting a 1:1 fuel pressure and boost ratio.

I also richened it up to 16% across the board and it still spudders and goes lean as I floor it.

What does your IPW do when it starts sputtering? Does it stay normal or is it spiking up or down? That might help decipher what's really going on.

One thing to check which most people overlook is the graph scale. Not sure which menu it is on but it needs to be +-30 not +-5.

Well, the problem has been solved. I took daves advice and then when i went to start the car it did its usual grumbling with the CE light on (it comes on usually when I don't floor it for more than a minute) yea i feel stupid, somehow one of the injectors wasn't plugged in all the way.

I guess I just thought it would be more complicated than a stupid mistake :o

Oh well thanks for the help, I will go back to skipping the basic steps... :( ;)
