I'm working with the owner of MAC Auto to use their dyno for a little competition in the DSM community. This is not just limited to the RMDSM group. If you have or know someone that would be interested point them in this direction. CODSM members are welcome to join in.
I've got it broken up into three categories. Heavily moded, Small turbo, Bone Stock. This way everyone gets a chance for some prize $$$. And yes piggy backs are allowed.
There will be payouts for 1st and 2nd place.
I have the details written up but they won't be posted till everything is finalized. Each group is limited to 5 cars. Its first come first serve. I will not accept applications until the details are posted.

what a "small turbo" to you?? Some people say 16G some say 20G.
So when and is it going to cost money.
Side note, my car is getting fixed soon and shipped out soon:D

I think we're trying to come up with a way to classify a turbo "small" or "large" that doesn't involve the size of the wheel...

Things are starting to look good. We have the majority of the rules done. Also have some legal stuff in there. Each car will have to pass an inspection to make sure it is fit to compete in the selected class.
More to come....

Ooh! Ooh! Can I run in two classes? Mildly modified and heavily modified? I'll make a couple of dyno runs on the 2.3 stroker with a 14b then slap on the 60-1 and make a few pulls @ around 25-27 psi. Heh, just kidding. I *should* have my engine rebuilt and broken in by then. If I haven't gotten the turbo rebuilt yet, I'll make a few pulls with the 14b@24 psi just for grins :D . Count me into the heavily modified class though as I'm not that far off from completing the rebuild.

We're thinking 20G's are going to be in the large category... it's most likely going to go off of compressor flow in lb/min (as per compressor map) Because technically if we went off the size of the wheel my FP3065 is barely larger than a 20G wheel... :) and that would be unfair for the middle group because GT series turbos would be able to compete lower than their rating (GT10 is 44lb/min but the wheel size is around the size of a B16G)

Cool beans. I'd like to participate as well--although I guess I get stuck in the 'big' turbo category. Of course, this is assuming the car isn't torn apart when the time comes around...
Are cars running nitrous classified any differently, or is this just a "run what you brung" sort of thing?
